Christmas Tree Workshop
We have an exciting new workshop where you hand build with clay to create a Christmas tree to then decorate and paint. These will then be glazed and fired in the kiln and lights can be added later if required. This is perfect for a beginner and is a good taster to see whether you enjoy working with clay or just enjoy being creative.

Cost is £45 with refreshments, this workshop is for 18+ years and can also be booked privately on a different date for a group.
P&P can be arranged at a small extra cost.

Your very own cone tree which you have the choice to decorate in a variety of styles and colours of your choice. There is also an option to add holes for light up baubles once it has been fired.
Clay Snowman Pot Workshop
During the workshop you will be given materials and guidance where needed to create your own Snowman. You will have access to tools, glazesand all resources you need to make your own bespoke piece of pottery and decorate with it’s own hat and scarf..
This workshop is for all ages and abilities, under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. You may have some or no experience of pottery, the workshops are an opportunity to relax and enjoy working with clay to create something that you leave with us to be fired and collected later.
Cost for this workshop £25 for 1.5hrs

Clay Workshops for All
Come along to our clay building workshop. These workshops are for all ages and abilities, we request under 16 years are accompanied by an adult. You may have some or no experience of pottery. he workshops are an opportunity to relax and enjoy working with clay to create something that you leave with us to be fired and collected later.
During the workshop you will be given materials and guidance where needed to create your own piece. You will have access to tools, glazes and all resources you need to make your own bespoke piece of pottery.
Look out for dates throughout the year or get in touch if you have a group of four or more and would like to set your own date.

Workshops run 10:30 am – 12:00pm or 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm on each day.
Dates are announced throughout the year, get in touch if you would like to be added to the list when they are announced.

Create Your Own Character Pot
Inspired by Georgie Bird's own whimsical pieces.
You will be guided in creating a slab built cylindrical vase to then decorate with glaze, slips and sculpted additions such as hair, clothing, tattoos or jewellery. The pots will then be left with us to fire at the pottery. No experience required, this workshop is for over 18 yrs, refreshments will be provided.

Yes, we will help you to create the tube, then you can go for it with your own ideas!
Guided Paint Your Own Workshop
A guided Paint Your Own workshop offering skills and techniques to create your own painted images onto a cake plate 16cm diameter. Themes include Canal Art Flowers and Tattoo Design Name Plate

Create your own wreath or decorations with clay. During the workshop you will be given materials and guidance where needed to create your own piece/s. You will be shown how to roll, cut and attach shapes to your own design. This fun and relaxed workshop includes refreshments (often cake and mulled wine!) You will have access to tools, slips, glazes and all resources you need to make your own bespoke piece of pottery which you leave with us to fire and collect at a later date (in time Christmas).

All Ages Taster Potters Wheel Experience
We run this taster at different times throughout the year
You will be given a demonstration and step by step through the stages of throwing a pot. You will have a go on the wheel and the chance of making one pot.
Suitable for all ages, under threes can join with an adult.
Option 1.. £20
Take your pot home to dry –you can decorate it at home with your own acrylic paint and varnish this will just be for decoration and cannot be used.
Option 2.. £25
Leave your pot with us to for the first firing (bisque firing), glazed then fired again. This will then be suitable to be used with water or edible items.
Option 3.. £30
Leave your pot with us at the pottery for the first firing (bisque firing), then you can return on another occasion to decorate your pot at the Paint Your Own Studio, then left with us to be fired again. This will then be suitable to be used with water or edible items.
For Option 2 and 3 it will be about four weeks before the pots are then ready to be collected. Postage can also be arranged for a small fee.
