Based in Littledean, gateway to The Forest of Dean, Bird’s Pottery first opened its doors in 2018. Georgie Bird, owner, shares her expertise to help customers push their creative boundaries and ensure that everyone makes something they can be proud of.

Bird’s Pottery is a family run business that prides itself on giving a quality and unique experience. Georgie’s passion for pottery was ignited at secondary school, her interest and experience has been ever increasing since then. Whether you wish to get cosy in the converted coach house during Winter or sit out on the flagstone courtyard in the sun, there’s always a place for you at Bird’s Pottery.

WE’RE ON A MISSION

At Bird’s Pottery, we welcome all and are proud to be the creative hub of the village.

  • At Bird’s Pottery, our mission is to share our love of creativity and ceramics in a safe, sustainable, and welcoming environment. We inspire and assist creatives of all ages and abilities while fostering community connections, enabling personal growth, and prioritising environmental responsibility.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to start a new interest, develop skills and meet individuals with similar interest or turn a hobby into something more.

  • Enabling Potential: Bird’s Pottery enables individuals to develop and grow.

Environmental impact: Bird’s Pottery values and cares for the environment. We make sure we implement the 3 R’s, wherever we can in our daily practise. From reusable takeaway kits, our reclaimed furniture and tools and recycled and biodegradable packaging.

Building connections: Bird’s Pottery offers a sense of community. We create opportunities for our guests to connect with other people within the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas. We work alongside other organisations to deliver bespoke classes and workshops within the area.

Community: Bird’s Pottery is a safe and welcoming environment to all. We create an inclusive atmosphere through workshops, holiday activities and events throughout the year.
